Rusty’s Ranch House

Located on Scenic Highway 14 at the canyon entrance from Cedar City sits one of the most delicious restaurants! Rusty’s Ranch House is a “cut to order” type of BBQ that will leave your mouth watering for more.

This is one of Cedar City’s best “Date Spots” as it offers up 5 star dishes (in our opinion) and has a fun and relaxing atmosphere. What better date could you have than a delicious dinner at Rusty’s followed by a scenic drive through the canyon, or vise versa?

Some of the favorites other than their fantastic BBQ on the menu include their pastas, like their “shrimp campi”, potato boats, fresh catch of the day and so much more. The menu here is colorful and flavorful. It’s one of those places you can go to over and over again and never get sick of.

For a happy ending, make sure to try their bread pudding, you will not regret this decision!

Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but you will get a fantastic mountain view as well.

Centro Wood Fired Pizza

One of the most popular places to grab a bite in Cedar City would have to be Centro. This pizzeria is quaint and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. It’s located right in downtown where all the fun is happening. The atmosphere is modern and in a way grunge. It is by far one of the tastiest places to eat in Cedar, and you can tell by the swarms of people that are there during all hours of the day from opening to close.

They have a range of delicious light pizzas, don’t be fooled, they don’t aspire to make pizzas that will stuff you, but rather satisfy those tastebuds and leave you wanting more. One 12 inch pizza is light enough for one person to enjoy without over filling or for two people to share for a lighter meal.

You can choose from their most popular dishes or create your very own pizza. The choices are endless! They also offer some ridiculously good salads, like their summer salad (personal favorite), and their gorgonzola salad.

The pizzeria highly suggests you sit in and enjoy the wood fired pizza directly from the over rather than taking it home to go. Nothing quite beats that fresh out of the oven taste!

The Pastry Pub

The Pastry Pub was originally opened as a little coffee shop in Cedar City in 1999, but shortly after their doors opened, they decided to add some good eats to their menu! And boy are we glad they did. The menu now offers 7 different salads, a good handful of hot sandwiches or subs and some of the most delectable pastries (obviously). Their menu is pretty delicious and we don’t think anyone should miss out, we are certain there is something there for everyone.

Even their moe simple sandwiches like the ham and turkey on a cheese bagel and some chipotle spread is certain to satisfy those tastebuds with flavor! During the warmer seasons, keep a look out for the Summer Berry Salad (personal favorite), crisp romaine lettuce, blueberries, strawberries, almond slivers and the best berry vinaigrette that I have had thus far.

The location is prime, especially in the summer being that it is kitty corner from Cedars most prized festival, The Shakespearean Festival. This is the perfect place to eat a good dinner before popping into a classic Shakespeare play!

Sonny Boys BBQ

Sonny Boys BBQ is one of southern utah’s favored places to dine. Their slow cooked pork is bar none the best in town! The put care into all the food they make with only the freshest ingredients available. The environment is cool and fun and the employees are extremely friendly!
